Combating Labor Exploitation and Human Trafficking
Because Sumatra Island, and Indonesia as a whole, is ripe for youth labor exploitation and human trafficking, we as an educational institution are committed to providing as many opportunities as possible to mitigate any possibility that our students will become victims in the future. By providing direct, translatable training for an industry at growth, we hope that all of our students, even those not pursuing higher education, will be able to enter lifelong careers that will be economically viable.
Furthermore, as an addition to our workshops and planned year-long courses, we have classes on labor exploitation and human trafficking, danger signs to avoid, and recruitment tactics.
